Update your Nokia Browser
New web browsers are now available for most Symbian smartphones and Series 40 mobile phones.
Please note that browser availability may vary based on your region or mobile operator. If you have a new device, the latest browser may already be pre-installed.
Update to Browser 7.3
Browser 7.3 is available for all Nokia Symbian touch screen devices.
- Supported Series 60 5th Edition devices include the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, 5530 XpressMusic, N97, N97 Mini.
- Supported Symbian^3 devices include the Nokia E7, N8, C6, C7 and the C7 Astound.
- This browser will also be pre-installed on Symbian Anna and Bella devices such as the Nokia E6-00, X7-00 and the Oro.
To update your device to the latest available browser, please click the Software Update (SW Update) icon in your device's Applications menu and follow the instructions to update your firmware. If you already have Nokia Browser 7.3 installed, your device will also prompt you when new updates are available.
Note: If you have a Series 60, 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 device such as the N79 or N96 you may be eligible to install a version of browser 7.3 that has been specially optimised for non-touchscreen devices. Please click the Software Update (SW Update) icon in your device's Applications menu to see if software updates are available.
Update to Browser for Series 40
Nokia Browser for Series 40 is available on many Series 40 devices. Supported devices include older favorites like the Nokia 5130 XpressMusic, C3-00, X3-02, X2-01, 2700 Classic, 6300, 6700 Classic and 2730 Classic. In addition, the X2-05, C2-02/C2-03/C2-06 and the latest Asha models, 200, 201, 300 and 303, are also supported.
To download Nokia Browser for Series 40, please visit Ovi Store on your device or on the web and search for the Nokia Browser application. Once installed, you will find Nokia Browser for Series 40 in your Apps or Games folder. To easily access Nokia Browser, create a home screen shortcut by choosing Personalise View in Options while on the home screen.
Note: If you already have Nokia Browser installed, your device will prompt you when new updates are available.
Browser for MeeGo
MeeGo browser comes pre-installed on all Nokia MeeGo devices including the Nokia N9.
This browser is only available for MeeGo devices and cannot be installed on other Nokia devices. If you already have a MeeGo device you will be prompted when new browser updates become available along with regular operating system updates.
